Part 4: Activities You Can Do On Your Own

1. Visit the riverside quarters of Mangalem and Gorica, known as the Old Town of Berat - perfect for aesthetic and picturesque photos.
         1.1. Mangalem - Mangalem

         1.2. Gorica - Gorica

 

2. Climb up in the castle - free entry: Berat Castle

         2.1. Visit the Holy Trinity Church - Holy Trinity Church

         2.2. Visit Onufri Museum (entrance fee)Muzeu Kombëtar Ikonografik Onufri

 

3. Go for an evening stroll (19:30 - 20:00), or “Xhiro” in Albanian, in Republika Boulevard Bulevardi Republika and finish it off at the old Gorica bridge Gorica Bridge for a more romantic feel of the town.

 

4. Wine tasting (out of town) - search for winery and agroturizem in Berat.

5. Drive to Bogova Waterfall & Osumi Canyons for breathtaking scenery of nature - make sure to have proper shoes if you decide to hike - Bogova Waterfall in Berat Parking- Kanionet e Osumit

 

6. Outdoor private swimming pool (summer time) - Family Time Berat

 

7. Drive to Apollonia - an ancient Roman-Illyrian site dating back from the 6th century BC (best on your last day in Berat. Close to Vlora and on your way to Gjirokaster/Sarande/Ksamil - Apollonia, Qyteti Antik Ilir
